Mention LinkedIn Profile
In LinkedIn posts, you have the option to mention LinkedIn profiles. However, for this to work, the LinkedIn username must be entered correctly; otherwise, it won’t work. The LinkedIn interface follows a specific pattern—or rather, it requires this pattern—so that it can suggest the correct company page or profile in the dropdown menu in SocialHub.
Here’s our tip:
- Open linkedin.com in a new browser tab
- Navigate to the profile or company page you want to mention in your post
- Then copy the part of the URL after “company” from your browser’s address bar—in our case, “socialhub”
- Then enter an “@” symbol in the SocialHub post and paste the name you copied earlier
- A dropdown menu will appear, where you should be able to find the company page, as shown in the screenshot:
Mention followers
In addition to business pages, you can also mention followers. Please note that currently, “non-business pages” can only be mentioned if the profile belongs to a follower.
Start your search by typing at least 3 characters. Special characters and numbers are not allowed.
Requirements for mentions on company websites:
If you prefer to type in the company page name yourself, be sure to follow these requirements.
- Replace spaces in the name with hyphens.
- Followers must have a profile in English. Additional profiles in other languages are allowed.
- Followers must have the “Mentions or Tags” setting enabled.
