iFrames are elements that can be used to embed parts of external tools within your analytics. However, those external tools need to support iFrames for this to work. You will receive a code snippet that you can insert into the iFrame widget of the analytics. This allows you to insert e.g. insights from external analytics tools, reports from Google Data Studio or even YouTube videos into your analytics dashboard.
Example Google Data Studio
Open the report you want to embed in your analytics dashboard. Then expand the dropdown next to the "Share" option in the upper right corner and click "Embed report". You will see a popup window containing the code snippet needed to embed the report.
Now edit your analytics dashboard and add a new widget. Select "iFrame integration" in step 1 and in step 2, simply paste the code snippet into the text field.
Example YouTube video
Open the YouTube video you want to embed in your analytics dashboard. Then right click the video and click "Copy embed code". Now edit your analytics dashboard and add a new widget. Select "iFrame integration" in step 1 and in step 2, simply paste the code snippet you just copied.
