The Content Planner displays an error message if the uploaded image is in a format that could cause a visual defect after the post is published.
Background
Many image viewing programs offer an option to rotate the displayed image by 90 degrees. However, this option does not actually rotate the image, but simply stores some hidden information that it should be displayed rotated by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Unfortunately, this is a problem for many networks. They simply disregard the hidden information and display the image in its original version.
The SocialHub recognizes the hidden information of the image and displays an error message. To make sure that the image is correctly rotated after publication, follow the instructions below.
What do I need to do?
Open the image in a graphics processing application such as Paint, Photoshop or Gimp. Each of these programs allow you to rotate the image by 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise and by 180 degrees. Use one of these options and save the image. If you upload this newly created image to the SocialHub, it will notice that the image has now been rotated correctly and the error message will disappear.
